When and where will the Public Service Weekends be held?
The list of 2019 conferences can be found here. Fall conferences host sites will be announced in the upcoming months.

When are the Public Service Weekend applications due?
July Conferences: Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 11:59PM EST

What is provided by the conferences?
All conferences include meals. Transportation and housing are included for some conferences. Conference sites that do offer this will specify it on their individual pages.

Who is eligible to apply for the Public Service Weekends?
Specific eligibility requirements are listed on the individual host site pages. High school students and graduate school students are not eligible to apply to any of the conferences. Current Junior Summer Institute Fellows (2019 cohort) are not eligible to apply to Public Service Weekends held in June and July 2019.

Am I required to attend all days of the conference?
Yes, accepted participants are expected to attend all days of the conference and participate in all conference activities.

Can I apply for multiple Public Service Weekends?
Yes, you may apply for multiple Public Service Weekends as long as you meet the eligibility requirements. Please closely read the individual conference site pages to ensure you are eligible based on state and year in school before submitting a application.

Can I attend more than one Public Service Weekend in 2019?
No, students are limited to attending one PSW held in 2019. If you are offered admission to multiple PSWs, you must commit to only attending one.

When will I receive an application decision?
Applicants can expect to receive a decision approximately 2-3 weeks after the application deadline.
